I have drawn and painted birds since I was a child- including a peacock collage with real peacock feathers!. This image is inspired by an image of a Leadbeater’s Cockatoo from a series of Brooke Bond Tea collectible cards illustrated by the magnificent illustrator CF Tunnicliffe. I love these little cards, especially the Tropical Birds series and this one reminds me of a much loved time in Australia.
